Peter oversees many of the team’s portfolio strategies and risk management, while also tracking the latest market themes and trends utilizing technical analysis. Additionally, he collaborates with the team on research and due diligence for new investments before they make it into client portfolios.
Peter joined Raymond James in 2005. He has earned both the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations. Peter grew up near Lethbridge in a farming community before moving to Edmonton at age 21. He completed a chef apprenticeship program through N.A.I.T. and worked as a chef until 2000. Peter then switched gears and worked for Intuit Canada, a financial software company, prior to joining Raymond James.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys riding his bike in the river valley, the odd poker game and reliving his glory days as a chef by hosting dinner parties. Peter gives back to the community through volunteer work with Ronald McDonald House and the Sacred Heart Church in Edmonton.
